This EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS telephoto zoom lens from Canon comes with a 4-speed image stabiliser and a UD glass element, and is made up of a system of 12 lenses, which are divided up into 10 groups.

This is the lightest EF lens of all at a mere 130g, very compact and providing a high-performance for a standard lens.

Super-compact and light, this lens is compatible with all EOS cameras and ideal for digital SLRs - when used on the EOS Digital Rebel, it's equivalent to an approx. 90-320mm lens.

The lightest 4x telephoto zoom lens in its class. Ideal for sports, portraiture, animals, etc. The telephoto effect can make the picture look compressed or have excellent background blur. At the 300mm focal length, you can fill the frame with a postcard from 1.5 meters away.
